This is a software tool that helps a collector catalog his collection.
Collector Notepad is a small, free and easy to use program for cataloguing of your collection. It is usually “Once a collector, always a collector”. Thus, when you start the collection may be small but as it grows, it becomes difficult to keep track of all the history. History of when an item was acquired, the price and any other data you may think is important. This program is designed for cataloguing your collectables and recording everything about the individual items. The program gives you simple way of organizing and controlling the catalog. The details you could record include photograph, up to three of them, name, date of acquisition and description that can contain all the history you need. Organizing data can be based on acquisition priority, entry priority and description.
You would be able to manage multiple collections too and store the data as separate files. The interface is simple and intuitive. Just about anyone who is a computer user should be able to get started right away. The pictures are organized quite prominently on the display face. Images that you upload are resized by the utility. The information about it is displayed in a well laid out manner. Total number of items collected are indicated. The entries could be edited or removed altogether. As it happens with many, if the enthusiasm to keep things current goes down, the effectiveness of the program will diminish. This is a very good product and if you are looking for a tool like this, this could be it.
